With a decade of experience as an independent artist, Låpsley has a wealth of insights and achievements to reflect upon. She burst onto the scene as a teenager, quickly gaining recognition with her debut album Long Way Home, which featured instant classics like "Hurt Me" and "Operator." Her sophomore release, Through Water, marked a pivotal evolution in her artistry. Launched just before the UK's first lockdown, the album boldly asserted her queer identity and garnered acclaim for its engagement with climate issues, earning her a prestigious award in the process.

Låpsley’s passion for pop music seamlessly translated into a career as a songwriter for others. In her first year as a writer, she contributed to the international platinum hit "Out Out" by Joel Corry x Jax Jones featuring Charli XCX and secured cuts with a diverse array of artists, including Barry Can’t Swim, Victoria Canal, Aimei, Nao, Gorgon City, Odesza, Sega Bodega, ESSEL, Franky Wah and Morgan Connie Smith. Notably, she penned two tracks on Paloma Faith’s number one album The Glorification of Sadness, including the standout single "Bad Woman."
